Where do you live?
Appleton, WI

Where are you from?
I spent my first ten years in a small town in central Illinois called Manito. I then moved to Springfield, Illinois, where I remained through high school. My husband and I met in Chicago, where I lived during law school.

My legal practice…focuses on estate planning. This covers a broad spectrum of clients and complexity, so it’s fun to create a plan that meets a client’s particular needs.

My family….is my favorite part of life! My husband, John, and our three children, Ella, Sam, and Lucy, are consistently bright lights in an unpredictable world. Oh, and I can’t forget to mention Marti, our loyal golden retriever😊

What are three things you do every day?
Pray, drink coffee, and hug my kids.

Where is your favorite place in the world?
Without question, our tiny little cottage in Minocqua. It’s about 730 square feet and hasn’t been updated since it was built in the 1940s. Our family of five (and Marti!) squeeze in there as often as we can, and just have endless fun playing games, reading by the fire, “frog spotting” by the shore, boating, kayaking, hiking, etc.

What is the last book you read?
The Dressmaker’s Gift by Fiona Valpy. I love historical fiction novels.

My favorite part of working at McCarty Law is…the people. My coworkers and clients make my job fun and interesting.
