Though Scott has experience in a wide variety of business transactional work, these days, he limits his practice to representation of clients in larger commercial and industrial construction projects and real estate developments. He regularly assists general contractors, subcontractors, owners, architects, and engineers in the preparation of contract documents and the resolution of disputes arising from the construction process. Scott has experience representing clients on a wide variety of projects both regionally and nationally, playing a lead role in projects from smaller local projects to projects over a billion dollars. He has extensive experience in contract drafting, contract negotiations, and the legal aspects of project management.
Scott has experience in projects for utility-scale solar and wind farms, conventional power plants (natural gas or coal), ethanol, biodiesel, healthcare, office projects, and paper making, among others.
Over the past 35-plus years, Scott has also been actively involved in assisting business owners and executives in a wide variety of business transactions, from formations of start-up organizations to mergers and acquisitions of business assets and enterprises.

More About Scott
Scott, a life-long Wisconsin resident, joined McCarty Law full-time in 1990 after working as a summer associate the year before. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Barbara, and staying active by biking, playing tennis and running. One of Scott’s favorite hobbies is racing his Spec Racer Ford and vintage Triumph cars.
