My legal practice…has for over 30 years focused on helping families and individuals with issues resulting from aging, disabilities or other health-related planning concerns. I’ve enjoyed being able to achieve very good results for our clients, whether it is helping younger clients with their first Wills and Power of Attorney documents or advising clients who are facing long-term care concerns and costs.

My family….
Debbie and I have two daughters, Abigail and Rachel, who are terrific young adults (if I say so myself!)

What part of your job is your favorite?
Working with our clients and achieving positive results for them is my favorite part of being an Elder Law and Special Needs Attorney. Most of our clients are either second or third-generation clients, their friends, or relatives of our current or past clients.  Many referrals come from other lawyers or financial advisors. Knowing that others place such confidence in our assistance makes helping our clients a real joy.

What is one thing that you listen to, read, or watch that everyone should?
I’m a big fan of Wisconsin Public Radio and National Public Radio. Their in-depth and unbiased news coverage is the best! And I was pleased to learn that McCarty Law is a long time WPR sponsor when I joined the firm in 2019.

My favorite part of working at McCarty Law is…
The people and culture of this firm is what makes working here so enjoyable. People who work here support each other, play well with others, are focused on great client service and getting good results for clients. The individuals here, and the law firm,  are very involved in community activities and organizations. They totally support my services on the Board of the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region and on the leadership team for the Fox Valley Advance Care Planning Partnership. Such support is another important factor in my job satisfaction here.
