McCarty Law Super Lawyers and Rising Stars of 2020

McCarty Law is proud to announce the attorneys who’ve been awarded the Super Lawyer and Rising Star distinction this year! Super Lawyers is a nationally-recognized rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Super Lawyers, and Rising Stars (Super Lawyers under 40), are selected through a process that includes independent research, peer nominations, and peer evaluations.

Here are our Super Lawyers of 2020:

Attorney Ben Adams: Ben joined McCarty Law LLP in Appleton in August of 2019 after practicing with Adams & Woodrow, S.C. in Neenah for over 30 years.  He emphasizes elder law, special needs planning, guardianships and alternatives to guardianship, nursing home, and long-term care issues, advance care planning for health care decision making, and estate planning in his practice.

Attorney Gregg Curry: As a Managing Partner who has been with McCarty Law since 1981, Gregg has a legal practice focused on litigation and a goal of helping his clients succeed. He handles personal injury law cases by representing seriously injured individuals in actions to recover monetary damages. Gregg also represents businesses on product liability, risk management and other commercial litigation matters. In the regulatory arena, he relies on his solid problem-solving skills to represent firms before the CPSC, EPA and the FTC.

And our Rising Stars of 2020:

Attorney Katie Canadeo: Practicing law since 2006, Katie efficiently and compassionately assists clients going through divorce and other family law matters. She likes to sit down with clients and explain the family court process. She will assist clients in initiating or responding to petitions for divorce, legal separation, family support, or child custody revisions. The Court will often appoint Katie as a guardian ad litem or parent coordinator for minor children. Her role often extends to coordinating the services of other professionals as needed to provide a smooth transition for her clients.

Attorney Kayla Giese: Kayla is a litigation attorney with significant experience representing individuals and companies in various areas of litigation and business transactions including, but not limited to, contract law, employment disputes, commercial litigation, construction defect, product liability claims, real estate disputes, first and third-party insurance claims, personal injury claims, and subrogation matters; in addition to various other related claims. She also brings her litigation experience to our Title IX team, which assists schools and colleges in meeting Title IX regulations, and she is trained by ATIXA as a hearing decision-maker.

Attorney Sarah Knutson: Sarah concentrates her practice in transactions for businesses and health care clients, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions and general corporate services. She provides clients with advice and guidance at all stages of the sale or purchase of a business including drafting and negotiating letters of intent, purchase or sale agreements and financing documents. In addition, she has extensive experience advising clients in entity formation, corporate governance, and commercial and real estate contracting matters. She is also part of our Title IX team, and as a former collegiate athlete, she offers unique insight into the Title IX process and is trained by ATIXA as a hearing decision-maker.

Attorney Yadira Rein: Yadira brings her client-focused approach and attention to detail to McCarty Law. She has represented clients throughout a variety of family law issues and works hard to provide assistance to minimize conflict as well as costs. Yadira is passionate about helping people through what is often one of the most difficult and stressful times they will go through in their lives. After meeting Yadira, clients have a clear picture of their particular situation, an understanding of the options available to them, and a plan specific to reaching their individual goals. In addition to serving as an advocate for her clients, Yadira also serves as a Guardian Ad Litem to advocate for the children’s best interest in various family disputes.
