My legal practice…
is focused on two areas.

First, I represent health care providers, including physician groups, clinics, Federally-Qualified Health Centers, dental groups, and individual health care providers, in all aspects of their practices. I help these clients with regulatory compliance (HIPAA, Stark, Anti-Kickback, etc.), corporate transactions (forming or merging companies, shareholder buy-ins and buy-outs, employment agreements, etc.), licensing matters, and many other issues that can come up in the business of health care.

The other focus of my practice is on Title IX compliance. I serve as an outside investigator and advisor for educational institutions seeking to appropriately investigate and address allegations of sexual misconduct and other violations of their Title IX policies.

My family…
My husband, Matt, and I have two children, Eva and Clara. We also share our home with our dog, Wally, and cats, Clarence and Olive.

What part of your job is your favorite?
I love working with health care providers and educational institutions because of the great services they provide to our community. I enjoy helping health care providers solve problems – or avoid them all together – since I know that lets them focus all the more attention on providing high-quality care to my family, friends, and neighbors. Likewise, I believe that by helping schools and colleges appropriately address allegations of bias, harassment, and sexual violence, I am helping those educational institutions make their communities fairer, safer places to live and work. I find it personally rewarding to help these types of clients, since they are so important to our quality of life in the Fox Cities.

What is your secret talent?
Making elaborate birthday cakes. The owl pictured was my personal best.

What is your favorite activity when you are not at work?
Tending to my vegetable garden while my kids and dog eat all the peas and gooseberries they can reach.

Where is your favorite place in the world?
While I’ve enjoyed my travels, there’s no place like home.
