Mark D. Schubert
Mark D. Schubert
Mark assists clients with estate planning, elder law matters, and real estate. He provides comprehensive help with estate planning including wills and trusts, and strives to make the process as understandable and comfortable as possible. His elder law practice includes probate, trust settlement, and both proactive and crisis planning involving Medicaid eligibility for nursing homes and other forms of long-term care.
Mark’s mission professionally is to empower people, efficiently and cost-effectively, with the knowledge and state of the art tools they need to protect what matters most to them and leave the legacy they intend. He has a deeply rooted belief that the best way to solve a problem is to prevent it from ever occurring and a passion for helping people create intelligent and insightful planning solutions which produce that result. Whether the potential problem is unnecessary taxes, the failure of a family business or farm, a misdirected, mismanaged, or squandered inheritance, or the loss of assets to creditors or the nursing home (just to name a few), he believes that virtually any goal is achievable through proactive planning.
Mark also recognizes that good legal outcomes inevitably result from an effective partnership between attorney and client. While he may be the expert about the law, he views each person he works with as the expert about his or her own situation, values, needs and goals. The challenge is to bring together these two essential forms of expertise. Mark strives to do that first by listening carefully to understand the unique circumstances and perspectives of each person and family. Leveraging that insight, he can then offer targeted information, analysis, and guidance, with the objective being to empower his client to make informed and confident decisions. Working together in a collaborative fashion, each can then bring their respective expertise to bear in creating an optimal solution.
